SAREBIO Conference

Our project partner Ricardo Beiras (Universidade de Vigo) participated in the virtual SAREBIO Conference ‘Deciphering the Future of Biodegradable Materials for Marine Applications’, which focused on the use of bioplastics and biodegradable products as an alternative to plastic products in the sea, and their potential impacts on the marine environment. As part of this event, Ricardo addressed the question: ‘Are Biopolymers the Remedy for the Plastics Disease? Remarks from Marine Ecotoxicological Science’ and also highlighted the RESPONSE project.
